Tchornobog is without a doubt one of the best records of the decade.
It goes beyond the outdated concept of ''genres'' to create something very much of its own. To think this is the most honest artistic expression of ONE single person is even more impressive.
It's one long journey, but a very worthwhile one. The songs all mesh perfectly into one relentless masterpiece that traps you in its atmosphere, without escape.
Despair, decay... and all the good shit. activa44

Venenum’s progressive death metal is somewhat similar, yet far superior, to early Tribulation, and it also bears a spiritual, if not stylistic, similarity to Blood Incantation in its ability to push the boundaries of death metal while exemplifying the very best of its essence. The instrumental proficiency is high without being ostentatious, the riffs are powerful and constantly varied without being incoherent, and the grasp of dynamics is far beyond debut album-level.
